"Names" by Julie Larios

Here is a "poem movie" for "Names" by Julie Larios created by graduate student Priscilla Pineda. Look for it here.

This poem is featured in The Poetry Friday Anthology for Middle School in the sixth grade section, week 10, for the theme, "Food."

  1. This is fabulous--I really enjoyed this poem movie! Great job of splicing together music, voice, text, and photos (especially those delicious pan dulce photos). LOVE it!!!

  2. It's true, Janet - Priscilla Pineda captured the poem perfectly. Mouth-watering pan dulce, and a perfect girl on the grass, and the colorful storefront of the panaderia...I thoroughly enjoyed it and I'm proud a poem of mind inspired it. Congratulations to you and Sylvia, too, for inspiring such a lot of creativity by publishing The Poetry Friday Anthology!

    1. Carol: Is your school still in session? Could be a fun bit of "summer homework" to show this poem movie and tell them to visit a panaderia this summer--and write about it!!
